A Crying Toddler Prompts a Visit from Child Protective Services

As mom of two Amber Roshay writes at Let Grow today: “Some believe a toddler shouldn’t cry. Others judge rather than empathize… And some call Child Protective Services for child neglect.”

Aw, com’on. Babies cry sometimes. Sometimes for no apparent reason.
Never had any of my own, but three younger sisters, three niecesies and a whole herd of their kids have taught me that whatever they are yowling about, will be forgotten quickly, and I’ve learned how to distract them. If there is reason, Mamá will know by the tone and step in to take care of things.
