Each Year from Ages 6 to 11 Kids Sit More and Move Less. Shouldn’t They Be Moving MORE as They Physically Come Into their Own?

A new study shows that by the time kids are 11 they have lost an hour a week of movement compared to when they were 6.

I could be wrong, but I thought that as kids got stronger, smarter and bigger, they used to start moving MORE — playing, walking, roaming. How can we reverse this sit-around trend that is rising along with obesity, anxiety and depression? I’d love to read your suggestions, over at Let Grow.
