4 – We want to waste parents’ time
5 – We insist parents over-demonstrate their love

In my experience this is optional and the mom’s are way more excited about their kids reaching this milestone than the kids are. When my kids got lockers in 6th grade the place was a zoo. Mom’s pleading with their kids to pose in front of their lockers for a photo for the scrapbook while kids rolled their eyes. I’d be interested to hear if any school makes this mandatory. For me it was just a bit of fun and parents were allowed to come if they wanted to.

Hurrah! At last I got a blog from where I be able to
actually take valuable information regarding my study and
      knowledge.
