Readers: I’m thrilled — see why, below! Kudos to the creator of these wonderful “Mom-Petitor” videos, Valerie Stone Hawthorne, a mom of twins in Texas — and, oh yeah, a PhD in cancer biology and cell biology. What a lightweight! Her blog is  Mompetition and here’s a profile of her in Time. And here’s me!    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZO91sNTz1o]

Lady: I witnessed a lady at the store yesterday who gave her baby a….pacifier that had dropped on the floor. I waited until I got home to call CPS. Should I have called immediately?

“Lenore”: I think it would have been better if you put the pacifier in your mouth & kept it there.

HA HA You tell ’em girl.

IDK- this seemed to be trying too hard to cover FRK in under 2 min. The pacifier and toilet seat lines were smirks, but based on the other mompetitors, I think this one tried too hard. I know, I’m just a stick in the mud.

But do check out the others too- the ‘home C-section’ had me in tears.

I’ve done a preliminary storyboard on my own take on FRK but have been swamped with other projects that I am either working on or learning how to do. This reminds me to update the text to voice program I’ve used in the past.

I love these….even made one myself about “negotiating” chores with my son.

Anyone else ever feel like this?

Darn you Lenore! Another hilarious blog to check in with every day. If my house starts to look like it should be on Hoarders I’m blaming you.

    26. Scott on October 20, 2010 12:05 pm

Watching these videos late at night, these are all so hilarious I was snorting and guffawing and waking the family up.

Right now I am l earning about the lady’s “natural c-section, which was done by my doula in our living room”.

    27. Cori Kesler on October 20, 2010 1:28 pm

I saw one of these last week and immediately thought of you. I’m *so* glad that the creators did too! It’s a perfect match. Brilliant.

    28. King Krak, All-Seeing, All-Knowing on October 20, 2010 1:42 pm

Ah, her other videos are even more funny!

    29. Larry Harrison on October 20, 2010 9:44 pm

Shelly Ha ha, exactly. My house already is starting to look like something out of Hoarders–yes Lenore, it’s all your fault! (Ha Ha).

    30. Colleen O'Connor on October 21, 2010 12:13 am

That was great!! I will be laughing all day. A toilet seat that fits over your head. LOL

    31. Meggles on October 21, 2010 2:00 am

My favorite part was when the mompetitor said that she must go, she hadn’t seen her kids for two minutes. I have met other mothers like this….psychos.
